Job Summary

A leading national healthcare law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles, San Francisco, or San Diego office. The Litigation Associate will have a primary focus on litigation in state and federal court, False Claims Act litigation, and healthcare fraud and abuse enforcement actions and investigations. Litigation Associate Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to healthcare law and litigation matters.
  • Assist in the preparation of cases for hearings, trials, and appeals.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate effectively with attorneys across different offices.
  • Handle multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Stay informed about developments in health law and policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Litigation Associate Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in the jurisdiction of the office location.
  • 1-4 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on healthcare law preferred.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Superior writing, advocacy, and communication skills.
  • Strong interest in health law and policy.
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with clerkships will be viewed favorably.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys across different offices.
