Job Summary
We are looking for an Executive Chef for an intimate, farm-to-table restaurant.
THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE WORKING AND LIVING IN WALLA WALLA, WA
Executive Working Chef Qualifications:
- Highly creative! Must change the menu weekly!
- Hard-working! Small restaurant, the chef does ALL the cooking and execution
- Wine knowledge and pairing knowledge are a must, especially about Washington AVAs
- 5+ years of fine-dining chef leadership experience, at least three years as Executive Chef
- At least two years working in a small, independent, farm-to-table restaurant
- At least one year working in a non-city, remote location preferred
- Knowledge and comfort with scratch Pastry, including bread, composed desserts, ice creams/sorbets, truffles, and chocolates
- High level of financial acumen and strong computer skills
- Be a true servant leader!
Executive Working Chef Responsibilities:
- Create a menu weekly using local products and seasonally available ingredients
- Source and purchase all food and manage food costs as a business professional
- Prep and execute all food
- Communicate effectively with the FOH team, explain food and offerings
- Be a respected and valued contributor to the growth of the business
Executive Working Chef Benefits:
- Excellent pay and bonus structure: base pay of 70K with profit sharing
- Total compensation could be $100k-$110k
