We’re looking for a skilled Tooling Technician/Machinist to join our team! In this role, you’ll assemble, disassemble, and recondition various tooling components in a machine tool setting. Tooling Specialist/Machinist Qualifications:
- Skilled in using measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Experience with layout/part measurements, including CMM, digital precision height gauges, surface contour tracing, and SPC.
- Strong customer focus, with the ability to discuss tooling performance effectively.
- Comfortable with computers and proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings.
- A dedicated team player who is hardworking, reliable, honest, and takes pride in their craftsmanship.
Tooling Specialist/Machinist Responsibilities:
- Pickup and deliver tooling as per details in work orders or shipping instructions.
- Recondition tooling following instructions outlined in work orders.
- Keep test records up to date in compliance with product specifications.
- Disassemble and inspect tooling for signs of damage or wear.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve efficiency, delivery, and quality targets.
- Operate crankshaft measurement and testing equipment to ensure precision.
- Occasional travel (5-7%, up to 10-15% max) to visit engine plants across the US, primarily in Michigan, Ohio, Ontario, and Buffalo, NY.
Tooling Specialist/Machinist Compensation:
- Up to $40.00 per hour.
