Lead Mobile App Developer Qualifications:
- BS - Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in mobile app development for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin/Java) for health-related applications and/or fitness trackers
- Medical device background
- Prior experience in an early-stage or start-up company in a lead developer role
- Proficiency in developing apps that communicate with IoT devices via Bluetooth including understanding of app lifecycle, performance optimization, and debugging.
- Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot
- Experience with:
- High proficiency in AI and machine learning libraries for mobile platforms
- Real-time data processing and visualization
- Secure data storage and encryption techniques.
- Knowledge of
- RESTful APIs and integration with backend services
- Healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance
- Cross-platform development frameworks like Flutter or React Native.
- Experienced in hiring, mentoring, and leading a team of developers, setting technical direction, and ensuring high-quality solutions
Lead Mobile App Developer Responsibilities:
- App Development: Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, ensuring seamless integration with the wearable device.
- Data Visualization: Implement intuitive user interfaces to display real-time health metrics (e.g., hormone levels, blood sugar, stress levels) and historical trends.
- AI Integration: Collaborate with data scientists to incorporate AI-driven insights and personalized recommendations into the app.
- Emergency Alerts: Develop features to notify users and emergency contacts during critical health events and ensure real-time communication with emergency services.
- User Experience (UX): Prioritize user-friendly navigation and accessibility, incorporating feedback from beta testers and end-users.
- Bluetooth Connectivity: Ensure reliable Bluetooth communication between the app and wearable device for data synchronization.
- Data Security: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive health data, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other relevant standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with firmware engineers, designers, and product managers to align app functionality with overall product goals.
