About the Role:

We are seeking a Director of Nursing Operations to oversee the performance and management of our after-hours nurse triage contact center. In this pivotal role, you will ensure exceptional quality of care, optimize nursing operations, and leverage cutting-edge technology to enhance patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight:
- Ensure high-quality care delivery aligned with clinical protocols.
- Monitor nurse performance metrics, including patient wait times and call encounter durations.
- Implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and execute initiatives to improve workflows and technology utilization.
- Collaborate with technology teams to implement system enhancements.
- Leadership & Staff Management:
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
- Provide coaching and support for professional development.
- Develop and manage nurse schedules to meet patient demand and operational needs.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Evaluate patient care outcomes and address gaps effectively.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between nursing, technology, and executive teams.
- Contribute to strategic planning and service delivery improvements.
- Schedule Flexibility:
- Provide occasional night and weekend coverage to observe and evaluate after-hours operations.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Advanced nursing degree (MSN or higher).
- Experience:
- Significant clinical experience, particularly in ER or pediatric settings.
- Proven leadership experience in triage contact center operations.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate metrics and drive improvements.
- Proficiency in healthcare technology, including triage systems.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
