Tax Accountant Responsibilities:

• Tax Season Duties:
  • Prepare and deliver individual, partnership, and trust tax returns
  • Meet with clients to collect documents, review organizers, and ensure timely, accurate filing
  • Address IRS and state correspondence related to tax returns
• Year-Round Duties:
  • Collaborate with advisors on proactive tax planning and client-specific projections
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues
  • Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and payroll tax processing using QuickBooks
  • Provide exceptional client service with clear and professional communication

What You Bring to the Table:

• Experience: 3–5 years preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and trusts
• Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification preferred)
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in ProSeries and QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of tax codes, compliance, and procedures
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving client needs
