Our successful US based client is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer - Firmware Specialist. This position is for a candidate based in Hong Kong or China. This is a remote position.

Firmware Engineer Responsibilities:

• Deliver prompt and professional technical assistance to customers, addressing their needs with expert guidance and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on firmware installation, feature functionality, and troubleshooting processes.
• Integrate and configure clients’ APIs to meet specific technical requirements effectively.
• Deploy and optimize operating systems across mining fleets, leveraging expertise in product features and functionality.
• Collaborate closely with development and product teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
• Perform firmware installations and system optimizations both remotely and during occasional on-site deployments.
• Fully remote role, with occasional travel for on-site tasks or client support.

 

Firmware Engineer Requirements:

• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and the ability to serve as a bridge between external clients and internal teams.
• Extensive knowledge of firmware technologies and related systems.
• Proficiency in Python and bash scripting, with solid experience navigating Linux environments.
• Competence in VPN configuration to enable secure remote access and installations.
• Fluency in both Mandarin and English.

Firmware Engineer Compensation:

• $70,000 - $110,000 USD Salary
