Job Summary

The Senior System Tech Analyst installs, configures, and administers Microsoft servers, Virtual systems, storage, and backup infrastructure. This position performs a full range of maintenance and support functions on multiple hardware platforms relating to operating systems software, and is responsible for providing regular updates to the Manager, Enterprise IT Infrastructure Services on critical IT operations. The Senior Systems Tech Analyst functions as a subject-matter expert for highly complex projects that have high corporate impact and provides technical expertise and guidance to team members on new and current infrastructure.


Duties & Responsibilities

• Evaluates, develops, installs, patches, tests, integrates, and maintains Microsoft and Microsoft operating system software.

• Evaluates and provides expertise in specific state-of-the-art technologies which are new to the organization for determining their applicability to organization mission. Determines whether product will be used and identify ways to maximize use. Designs and coordinates implementation and training.

• Identifies and works with vendors to implement and support infrastructure systems to support AAA.

• Identifies, analyzes, and defines the information requirements, performance quality criteria to assess security risks associated with systems and storage infrastructure. Provides reports for management review.

• Coordinates the preparation of overall system test criteria and test plans for each level of operating system testing.

• Develops and maintains proficiency in technical areas of systems analysis by attending formal training and seminars, reading job related publications and pursing self-pace training.

• Advises Manager, Enterprise IT Infrastructure Services, prior to change control meetings. Has autonomy to make work changes limited in scope.

• Performs other related duties as required.

• Attendance is required.
