Executive Chef – Exciting New Restaurant Launch


Overview:

Join a dynamic and growing restaurant group as an Executive Chef for an exciting new concept in the Austin area. This is your chance to lead a creative culinary team, craft diverse and innovative menus, and play a vital role in shaping a high-end casual dining brand.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success as an Executive Chef in a fine-dining or upscale casual environment
  • Required experience with new restaurant openings (NRO), including launching kitchens and teams from the ground up
  • Expertise in managing high-volume operations with $7M+ annual sales
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and build a cohesive team
  • In-depth understanding of food safety standards and contemporary culinary practices
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control food costs, and oversee inventory efficiently
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Hands-on experience in menu development, including seasonal updates and creative specials
  • Formal culinary education or equivalent professional experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update seasonal menus, balancing core offerings with weekly specials that showcase creativity
  • Lead and mentor the culinary team in food preparation, execution, and plating to meet high standards
  • Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining impeccable kitchen standards
  • Manage kitchen budgets, inventory, and purchasing to optimize cost control
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager to deliver outstanding guest experiences
  • Communicate regularly with leadership on culinary operations and menu planning
