Job Summary

We are seeking a Professional Electrical Engineer to prepare lighting and power construction drawings and specifications, coordinate with mechanical engineers/designers, run load calculations, and review shop drawings and submittals.

Professional Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications for lighting and power systems
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and designers to ensure seamless integration
  • Perform load calculations to determine system requirements
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project specifications
  • Create panel schedules, one-line diagrams, and lighting fixture schedules
  • Conduct quality control reviews of engineering documents
  • Perform field investigations and construction administration
  • Represent the company at client, architect, and contractor meetings

Professional Electrical Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
  • NCEES registration (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional electrical design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and industry-standard electrical design software
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEC)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
