Sous Chef Qualifications:
- 3 years of Sous Chef level experience in a high-volume, fine dining restaurant
- Events/catering experience a plus
- Creative ability to develop international/global cuisine menus
- Strong P&L, cost control and systems experience
- Servant leader and teacher, empowering others to be their very best
- Team player with the ability to take direction and think outside the box
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Lead/Coach/Develop the culinary team to excellence
- Work towards and contribute to the success of the restaurant's reputation, including potential James Beard and Michelin recognition
- Direct the food preparation activities for all service periods and special events with established recipes, production procedures, timing, portion control, and quality and presentation standards
- Oversee daily culinary operations and admin-vendor relations, inventory, expense control, hiring
- Must be able to communicate well with the culinary leadership team and team members in a positive manner
Sous Chef Benefits:
- Strong Base Salary-$65-$75K DOE
