Job Summary
Our client focuses on designing and manufacturing high-quality lighting fixtures, home accessories, and furnishings. This position will begin as remote and transition to a hybrid model over the next year. The team values collaboration and is seeking candidates who share this quality. Must live in the California San Francisco Bay Area or in the North Bay.
SolidWorks Mechanical Drafter Benefits:

SolidWorks Mechanical Drafter Requirements:
- This is not a mechanical design engineer position. It will be strictly drafting.
- 1-2 years of intermediate SolidWorks proficiency, including skills in sweep, revolve, extrude, lofts, advanced mates, and creating organized exploded views
- Mechanical drafting experience including: creating layouts, customizing document properties, understanding macros, and generating detailed BOMs in accordance with ASME Y14 standards
- Understanding manufacturing methods, particularly with brass (CNC milling, CNC lathe turning, spinning, brazing, etc.) is a plus
- Familiarity with Casting and Glass Blowing processes is preferred
SolidWorks Mechanical Drafter Responsibilities:
- Use SolidWorks to create and manipulate 2D CAD drawings (80-90% of the role) and develop SolidWorks models (10-20%) for engineering documentation
- Update and maintain existing engineering drawings to incorporate design revisions
- Work closely with team members on various projects to ensure collaboration and alignment
