We are seeking a Culinary Director for a new Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant concept in NYC! Culinary Director Qualifications:
- 3-5 years as a senior culinary leader
- Experience with new restaurant openings
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and kitchen equipment.
- Creative culinary skills, with a passion for Mediterranean cuisine and healthy food trends.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, inventory management, and cost control.
Culinary Director Responsibilities:
- Menu development and innovation - Maintain a balance between creativity, profitability, and nutritional value in menu offerings.
- Led, mentor, and develop the kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culinary team.
- Oversee adherence to all health and safety regulations, including compliance with local and national food safety guidelines (e.g., proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness).
- Work with senior leadership to set and achieve budgeted financial goals.
- Manage food costs, labor costs, and overheads to optimize profitability without compromising quality.
