Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and creative Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen team and oversee all culinary operations. The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, creating innovative menus, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. This role is pivotal in delivering an exceptional dining experience, maintaining the highest standards of food safety, and contributing to the growth and reputation of our establishment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Create, update, and maintain menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and culinary vision, ensuring variety, seasonality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Food Preparation: Supervise and participate in the preparation and presentation of food to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to recipes.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff; schedule and manage team performance to create a collaborative and productive kitchen environment.
  • Inventory and Budget Management: Oversee inventory, control food costs, and manage purchasing to ensure efficiency and profitability while minimizing waste.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with front-of-house staff and management to ensure seamless service and address any operational challenges.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with culinary trends and techniques to continuously elevate the dining experience and maintain the restaurant's competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Executive Chef, or similar leadership role in a high-quality culinary establishment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training from a recognized institution preferred.
  • Exceptional knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and ingredients.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in kitchen equipment, inventory software, and food cost control.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and certifications (e.g., ServSafe).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
