Job Summary

Our client, a longstanding leader in frozen food production with over 70 years of expertise, is seeking a Head of Maintenance and Automation for their high-volume production facility in Lake City, PA. The ideal candidate will excel in hands-on leadership on the production floor, have a proven track record in planning and executing large-scale CapEx projects, possess strong technical knowledge of automation and mechanical equipment, and demonstrate a self-driven mindset with a high sense of urgency.

Head of Maintenance and Automation Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Proficient in hands-on programming for automation systems, including PLCs and Rockwell platforms or equivalents.
  • Expertise in HVAC, equipment maintenance, and automation within a food manufacturing setting.
  • Skilled project manager with critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a hands-on, coaching leadership style.
  • Experience managing large operational budgets and capital expenditure (CapEx) projects.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FDA, and related regulations.
