Tax Accountant Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
• Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of tax codes, ProSeries & QuickBooks proficiency, and excellent organizational abilities.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Prepare and deliver individual, partnership, and trust tax returns during tax season.
• Collaborate with advisors on proactive tax planning and projections.
• Research complex tax issues and manage IRS/state correspondence.
• Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and payroll tax processing in QuickBooks.
• Provide exceptional client service through clear and timely communication.
