DevSecOps Engineer – Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with development teams to design and implement automated processes for building, testing, security checks, and deployment pipelines for simulation systems.
• Work with various programming languages and technologies, including Java, C++, Angular, and TypeScript, within an Agile DevOps framework.
• Leverage tools from the Atlassian suite, such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Bamboo, to manage projects, control versions, and enable continuous integration.
• Implement automation and deployment solutions using tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
• Build and manage continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using platforms like Bamboo, Jenkins, and Hudson.
• Write and maintain scripts in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate and optimize workflows.
• Work autonomously and as part of a collaborative software development team to deliver quality solutions on time.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science, software engineering) from an accredited institution.
• Experience:
  • At least two years of professional experience working with complex systems, including developing, integrating, and testing software in large environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins, Hudson).
  • Experience in automation and configuration management with tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Agile DevOps practices.
  • Extensive experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo) for project management and version control.
