Requirements and Responsibilities

• Develop NC programs based on engineering definitions (CAD models, sketches, and problem descriptions)
• Select appropriate tooling, set cutting parameters (speeds, feeds, depth of cut), and verify accuracy of machined parts
• Operate and troubleshoot all equipment in the machine shop, ensuring top-quality results
• Lead and train other machinists on complex tasks and high-precision assignments
• Support R&D teams with innovative solutions and develop work-holding methods and machine setups
• Manage low-volume, one-off projects with a focus on precision and efficiency

 Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Technical degree or vocational training preferred)
• 15+ years of industry experience with at least 10 years in precision machining and prototyping
• Expertise in multi-axis NC programming, manual milling, and turning
• Strong experience with machining a variety of materials (plastics, composites, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel)
• Proficient in reading technical drawings, process instructions, and test plans
• Ability to work independently, solving complex machining problems
• Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor other machinists
• Excellent communication skills and experience with productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
