Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Uphold and exceed high expectations of all food quality, sanitation, and brand standards
- Train, coach, develop, and direct a large team to be the best every day; Servant-style leadership is the expectation
- Be able to add structure and organization where needed, but with a very collaborative spirit
- Remain hands-on and eyes-on at all times in every aspect of the Kitchen-build up the people around you
- Business Acumen: Must have the hands-on financial experience of costing out menu items and recipes, controlling food cost and labor cost, and have a strong business sense
- Ability to partner and collaborate positively and openly with ownership - share and execute the same vision and goals
Executive Chef Qualifications:
- 3+ years in a Full-Service Executive Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager role at upscale or upscale casual, high-volume restaurants
- Ability to manage, develop, and retain a solid current kitchen team of up to 20 and a sales volume of up to 5M
- High-volume, scratch kitchen leadership experience; a Strong mix of Independent and Corporate restaurant leadership experience is a requirement
- Systems-oriented with a work hard, play hard mentality! Put out Amazing Food, with Amazing People, and have fun doing it!
- Must be a great cook and really be passionate about how the food quality affects a guest's experience; no clipboard chefs
- Proven proficiency in inventory, ordering, scheduling, team building, and the ability to analyze food cost and labor cost-make appropriate action plans
- Passion for high food quality standards and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, upholding an established reputation
