Position Overview
The Director of Business Development will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s nationwide sales initiatives. This leadership position is responsible for strategic planning, team management, and achieving sales targets to expand market presence and profitability. This is a full-time, in-person role, with occasional local and overnight travel (~25%).

Director of Business Development Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporate objectives and market growth.
- Profitability Management: Ensure satisfactory profit/loss ratios and analyze market trends to maintain competitive advantage.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing sales team through recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Market Expansion: Oversee sales channel development, territory management, and new market penetration efforts.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients; assist in negotiations and deal closures.
- Operational Oversight: Coordinate between sales and other departments, ensuring alignment with company goals and budgets.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare periodic sales reports, analyzing performance metrics and identifying growth opportunities.
Director of Business Development Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive sales management experience.
- Proven B2B sales expertise (minimum 5 years).
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Strategic thinking, with a focus on results and problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
