Line Cook responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking station.
- Chop, slice, and prep ingredients for daily service.
- Operate cooking equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stove tops.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet restaurant standards.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation protocols.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Communicate with servers and management regarding special orders or allergies.
- Assist in inventory control by reporting low stock levels.
Line Cook Qualifications:
- Proven cooking experience in a similar role or kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, tools, and basic cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle repetitive tasks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent quality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
