Goodwin Recruiting has partnered with a growing Shipyard Company in Kentucky to hire an Electrical Engineer to take on a redesign role and overhaul their ships' systems. About You

Your Role:

• Fully redesign and update the electrical systems of barge ships
• Manage the direction of the engineering department and address electrical and control needs of vessels and facilities
• Organize and prioritize information to align with customer service, operations, and regulatory specifications
• Ability to work in various environments, including extreme weather conditions and confined spaces
• Willingness to travel to other facilities and be on-call 24 hours a day

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
• PE License required or ability to obtain in the immediate or near future.
• 4+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineering position for the maritime industry

Preferred Qualifications:

·        NFPA70 and NFPA70E preferred or ability to obtain
