Job Summary

Scrap Metal Company that processes ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and paper products is seeking a Recycling Scrap Yard Manager


This Scrap Metal Company buys scrap metal such as junk cars, trucks and buses, scrap iron, aluminum, copper, brass, tin cans, copper bearing scrap, electric motors, fuel storage tanks, appliances, corrugated cardboard, waste paper and all other metal products. 


Recycling Scrap Yard Manager

  • Mentor and train new team members and team leaders across all departments.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety and environmental standards, maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and R2:2013.
  • Foster a customer-focused and responsive work environment.
  • Grade ferrous and nonferrous metals as well as electronics.
  • Maintain a high-level understanding and upkeep of all equipment.
  • Track and analyze all inbound and outbound shipments in relation to daily plans.
  • Ensure operations are efficient, effective, and exceed BMR’s production goals and objectives.
  • Communicate daily goals clearly to all team members.
  • Adapt to a dynamic and frequently changing commodities market.

Qualifications for Scrap Recycling Manager


  • 10 years working in a scrapyard environment
  • 5 Years in Management
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
  • Experience managing people and budgets
  • Experience in Inventory Control
  • Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
