Our client is a full-service public accounting firm with offices in Louisiana and Texas. They are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Tax Manager to join the Shreveport, LA office.
Tax Associate Description
Are you a skilled tax accountant ready to take on a leadership role? Our client is looking for a dedicated professional with 3–5 years of tax experience to handle a range of tax filings, including 990s, 1120s, and 1040s. Candidates with multi-state tax experience are encouraged to apply, though it is not a requirement.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to transition back to public accounting from a corporate role. Ideal candidates will either hold a CPA designation or be actively working toward it.
Tax Associate Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex tax returns, including 990s, 1120s, and 1040s, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Provide guidance on multi-state tax filings and strategies, as applicable
- Mentor and oversee junior accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of client deliverables
- Maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and responding to inquiries professionally
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring clients remain compliant while optimizing tax planning opportunities
Tax Associate Benefits
- Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000, with uncapped overtime earning potential
- Minimum overtime schedule: Beginning the first week of February, employees work 2 hours of mandatory overtime daily, plus 4 hours on one weekend day, with early Fridays
