Special Education Teacher Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of students.
• Provide direct instruction, support, and interventions in both one-on-one and small group settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure students’ success.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Special Education Teacher Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master's preferred)
• Valid NY State certification in Special Education (K-12)
• A passion for working with students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
