Job Summary
Position Summary:
Our luxury boutique hotel is searching for a passionate and innovative Executive Chef with a mastery of Texas fusion cuisine. This role combines Texas culinary traditions with a modern, upscale twist, celebrating local ingredients and flavors. As Executive Chef, you will lead our culinary team to create memorable dining experiences for our discerning guests. You will develop unique seasonal menus, establish high food quality and presentation standards, and embody the hotel’s commitment to exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Create inventive Texas fusion menus that incorporate local ingredients, showcase seasonal offerings, and pay homage to Texas cuisine with creative, modern elements.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a culinary team that shares your passion for excellence. Encourage team cohesion and professionalism while fostering a collaborative, positive environment.
- Guest Experience: Ensure that every dish meets our luxury standards, delivering an unforgettable dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Work directly with guests as needed to customize dishes and accommodate dietary needs.
- Creativity & Innovation: Infuse creativity into every aspect of the culinary process, from concept to plating, offering unique weekly or monthly specials and seasonal items that reflect current culinary trends.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the hotel management team to ensure a cohesive guest experience, including special events, catering, and other hotel offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant setting with a focus on Texas or fusion cuisine.
- Expertise in Texas flavors and culinary techniques, with the ability to blend regional influences with a contemporary, upscale approach.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary best practices.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, inventory, and cost control.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a guest-focused, detail-oriented approach.
- A culinary degree or equivalent training is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
