Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to plan and prepare for new machine installation.
- Supervise the erection of disassembled machines in the customer's facility.
- Inspect the installation, and if necessary, make recommendations to the customer to assure compliance with company specifications.
- Inspect, adjust, start up, and demonstrate safe setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Provide, under warranty and/or at customer cost, problem identification, repair, maintenance, and training services.
- Regularly visit assigned customers to observe machine operation and safety conditions; identify key service contacts and discover customer needs for equipment, accessories, and services.
- Maintains accurate records of service calls, travel expenses, and appropriate technical reference documentation and submits all documents within the expected time frame.
- Provide technical support from headquarters via phone and email to distributors, customers, and other field service engineers.
Field Service Engineer Qualifications:
- Two or more years of additional technical school education or equivalent work experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electronic systems maintenance repair is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to start up, demonstrate, and repair assigned products without close supervision and/or site assistance.
- 2-3 years experience in field repair work with industrial or manufacturing machinery (CNC) preferred
- Successful completion of Hurco's Service Training Program.
