Veterinary Medical Director - Relocate to Florida Responsibilities

  • Create and implement medical protocols and guidelines
  • Lead, guide, and consult the team on treatment plans for animals in our care
  • Provide high quality veterinary medical and surgical care in accordance with ASV guidelines including but limited to spay & neuter surgeries, dental radiography, exploratory laparotomies, tumor removal, amputations, and more
  • Ensure that all state and federal laws, regulations, and standards regarding veterinary operations, drug control, and high quality veterinary medicine are adhered to
  • Practice compassionate care for animals in our care and help create a culture encourage where staff do the same

Veterinary Medical Director - Relocate to Florida Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years in similar role
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an accredited University
  • Certificate in shelter medicine highly preferred
  • Valid Florida State Veterinary license required
  • Valid DEA license, or ability to obtain one
