A Midwest-based Restaurant Group seeks an experienced Food & Beverage Director of Operation to oversee its locations. The Ideal Candidate will have a strong background and experience in Casual to Upscale Casual Restaurants, Bars, and Brew Pubs; as well as, Banquets, Events, and Catering. Responsibilities:
- Act as a key participant in the development of the overall strategic 1,3, and 5-year vision for the organization; plan business objectives, develop organizational policies
- Take the lead to ensure achievement of key milestones and provide a quarterly update to President on progress; establish annual desired profit margin for the organization
- Working with appropriate personnel, develop an annual budget that will facilitate the achievement of the overall growth goals of the organization
- Provides overall management and coordination of the Company and all its operations including bars, restaurants, events, off-sites, and other entities
- Oversees human resources and determines the best approach and process to attract and select staff, staff training and development, and termination process when required
- Establish a company-wide communication process - either using the current software or by recommending and implementing something different; ensure all team members are communicating and aware of important company information and calendars
- Responsible for providing direct supervision for all administrative staff including Operations, Marketing Team, HR, and Office management
- Responsible for developing, with appropriate input, the overall marketing strategy for the organization and providing oversight for the implementation and ensuring achievement of the agreed-upon strategy
- Constructively and actively works with the President and ownership team in a leadership role; identifies potential growth opportunities and additional locations
- Oversee facility maintenance and modifications and establishes and implement green practices including lowering food, product, and service waste and energy usage within facilities
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience at a Multi-Unit Director level or higher with a Casual or Upscale Casual Brand
- Five to ten years of proven success in a leadership role in a similar environment
- Experience in overseeing multiple locations
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality related Majors or Business Administration is preferred.
- Proven track record of Team Building and the development and implementation of standards and consistency
- Strong project management skills, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, leadership qualities, and communication skills
