Sous Chef
An upscale trendy high-energy and high-volume venue known for great food as well as events is seeking its next outstanding Sous Chef. We are looking for a passionate individual who possesses great experience with high-volume à la carte, as well as banqueting and special events. While we seek a highly capable culinary expert, finding someone who is also a patient teacher and coach is equally important. The successful applicant must have a proven and balanced track record of providing a high-quality and consistent product while keeping costs in line and motivating a tremendously focused and dedicated team. Our next Sous Chef ideally has experience in both, hotel and/or catering background paired with independent restaurants and/or corporate restaurant experience. We are looking for someone ready to hit the ground running.
Sous Chef MUST HAVES:
- Computer Proficiency - POS (Toast), Restaurant 365, Compeat, Hotschedules
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar
- High Volume Experience (10M and up)
- Extensive experience with banquets and events. (QSR, Cafe, and/or Sushi experience a big plus!)
- Expertise in cost of labor and food-cost control as well as inventory management
- Positive and motivational leadership style.
