General Consul, North America
General Consul Qualifications:
**Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
**Experience: Minimum of 10 years in diverse legal practice, with proven expertise in business contract law.
**Licensing: Active member in good standing with the Georgia Bar Association.
**Skills:
- Deep knowledge of contract creation, review, and executive advisory.
- Board certifications in one or more of the following (preferred in order):
- International Business Law
- Business Litigation
- Tax Law
**Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
General Consul Responsibilities:
**Executive Advising: Provide legal counsel on contracts, business risks, and deal terms to senior management.
**Contract Management: Oversee drafting, negotiation, and execution of various business agreements, ensuring alignment with company goals.
**Legal Compliance: Collaborate with internal teams to monitor and address legal developments, marketing compliance, and contract obligations.
**Third-Party Relations: Manage relationships with external legal firms to enhance service quality and ensure cost-effectiveness.
**Legal Research and Documentation: Research and summarize legal issues, risks, and case law to inform decision-making and policy development.
This position requires a proactive leader with a strong background in business law and cross-border legal expertise, especially in U.S. and Mexican regulations.
