Job Summary
As a Quality Control Technician, you will ensure that products meet specified standards and requirements. You will inspect and test materials and products, document and report any defects, and ensure compliance with quality procedures.
Quality Control Technician Responsibilities
- Inspect products during production to ensure accuracy and compliance with engineering drawings.
- Verify products meet customer specifications.
- Document and log quality defects according to procedures.
- Ensure SOPs are followed on the production floor; report deviations to the Quality Manager.
- Collaborate on projects for ISO certification maintenance.
- Assist in evaluating complaints, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Suggest tracking mechanisms to improve manufacturing processes.
- Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions with the Quality Manager.
- Conduct internal quality audits as needed.
Quality Control Technician Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years in a quality control position in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of welding and electrical standards is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO processes and audit compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work with diverse teams and across organizational levels.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis.
