Position: Director of Business Development - Higher Education Contract Food Services

About the Role:

Our client, a purpose-driven, quality-focused food service company in the education sector, is looking for an experienced Director of Business Development to drive growth in the West region. If you’re passionate about making an impact in education, this opportunity could be perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed targets
  • Manage a 3-year prospect pipeline and track leads using CRM tools
  • Conduct financial viability analysis on RFPs/RFIs to inform strategic decisions
  • Craft compelling proposals for potential clients
  • Leverage research to optimize the sales process
  • Attend prospect meetings and cultivate strong, lasting relationships

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of consultative sales experience, with at least 3 years in higher education contract food services
  • Strong passion for customer-focused, people-first service
  • Proficiency in creating proformas and conducting financial analysis
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and surpassing sales goals
  • Skilled in evaluating and responding to RFPs/RFIs
  • Highly motivated and innovative thinker
