Job Summary
The Executive Steward oversees the Stewarding Department, ensuring all back-of-house areas are impeccably maintained and adhere to cleanliness and safety standards. This role requires coordination with the Executive Chef and Outlet Managers to fulfill daily operational needs.
Executive Steward Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with kitchen and management to ensure the availability of necessary items.
- Maintain equipment inventory, minimizing loss and breakage of silverware, china, and glassware.
- Enforce Department of Health (DOH) compliance in cleaning and sanitation routines.
- Ensure all equipment is operational and organize repairs as needed.
- Prepare monthly reports on inventory shortages and requisition replacements within budget.
- Lead and mentor the stewarding team, enforcing disciplinary procedures when required.
- Support a respectful and cooperative team environment.
Executive Steward Qualifications:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Basic machine maintenance knowledge is a plus (e.g., ice and dish machines).
