Job Summary

A storied power distribution component manufacturer is primed for aggressive expansion into new and existing markets. We are seeking someone to work closely with a cross-functional team, as a Lead Manufacturing Quality/Test Engineer, to support product development and ensure the reliability and safety of the products and systems. A team of QA/QC engineers will be coached and mentored by the lead manufacturing quality/test engineer.


Lead Manufacturing Quality/Test Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Testing of components, assemblies and systems through every phase of production
  • Resolve and correct defects by collaborating with a team of manufacturing and engineers
  • Root cause analysis and troubleshooting
  • Develop testing protocols for reliability, performance and safety standards
  • Coach and mentor a team of test engineers
  • Support quality improvement projects to maintain best-in-class service

Lead Manufacturing Quality/Test Engineer Qualifications:


***MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SWITCHGEAR***

  • BSEE, BSME or related field
  • 4+ years experience in QA/QC testing electrical systems
  • Experience working with power distribution systems and components (switchgear and circuit breakers, medium and/or low voltage products)
  • Quality management systems and methodologies strongly desired
  • Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and root cause analysis experience
  • IEEE, IEC, UL and other regulatory guidelines knowledge
  • Six Sigma or other CI processes, Lean manufacturing
