Job Summary
Great hospitality group that runs all the food and beverage in a popular uptown boutique hotel in New Orleans is seeking a Catering Sales Manager. If you have experience in upscale, fine dining establishments selling and running events, we want to talk to you!
Catering Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Handling the entire sales cycle with the guest from inquiries to BEO creation to day of event operations
- overseeing the execution of events, ensuring smooth communication between clients, staff, and vendors
- leading site tours, managing event setup and breakdown, supervising banquet staff, and ensuring all event details are executed as per BEOs.
- Additional responsibilities include managing rentals, creating floor plans, and attending weekly BEO meetings.
- The manager will also handle deposits, payments, and event close-out in Tripleseat.
Catering Sales Manager Qualifications:
- 2+ years of event management or banquet experience.
- Strong leadership, customer service, and attention to detail, with proven skills in sales, negotiation, and organization.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, preparation, and presentation.
- Ability to work 50-55 hours/week, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with event management software (e.g., Tripleseat).
- Bachelor's degree preferred; experience in luxury hotel catering or fine dining is a plus.
