Coastal Engineer Qualifications/Responsibilities:

• Position based in Columbia, SC (with potential for hybrid work)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with coursework in hydraulics, wave mechanics, coastal processes, and structural design
• Master’s degree preferred
• PE registration or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status required
• 5+ years of experience in coastal resilience, stormwater management, hydraulic modeling, or related fields
• Collaborate on engineering designs for shoreline protection, restoration projects, jetties, groins, stormwater solutions, breakwaters, and more
• Engage with clients, contractors, government agencies, and stakeholders on engineering, permitting, and site development matters
• Take on project management duties as needed
• Ensure technical quality and design intent are maintained across all projects
