Director of Education Early Childhood Development
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Education to lead daily operations at our early childhood education center. This role involves overseeing the educational program and ensuring that a developmentally appropriate curriculum is consistently delivered. Director of Education Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the education center.
- Ensure the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Conduct both formal and informal observations of teaching staff.
- Provide ongoing training and support to staff members.
- Manage student assessments and review teacher lesson plans.
- Ensure that educational goals are met across the center.
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with families.
- Lead marketing efforts to maintain full enrollment in the program.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and effective communication skills.
Director of Education Job Requirements:
- New York State Teaching Certification (Birth–2nd Grade or Grades 1–6).
- A minimum of a BA/BS degree in Early Childhood Education (Master’s preferred).
- At least 2 years of classroom experience with children under 6 years old.
- Leadership experience in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
