Job Summary
Our current need is for a Director of Catering Operations to help grow an off-premise catering operation for an established, high-end restaurant group in NYC.
Director of Catering Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide tactical leadership for multiples Catering teams to ensure a high-quality experience for our clients, partners and guests.
- Engage with leaders within the Sales teams to ensure the teams demonstrate a high level of collaboration and support.
- Working on various types of high-end events including corporate, social, meetings, etc.
- P&L responsibility
- Management and oversight of all operations and functions of the catering enterprise, BOH and FOH
- Ensure banquet event orders are accurate, timely and properly communicated
Director of Catering Qualifications:
- Experience running a high-volume off-premise catering operation ($50m+)
- Experience building and managing a team, including culinary, service, sales and marketing
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, establishing a collaborative and supportive process for issues identification and process improvement.
- Current knowledge of industry trends in catering
- Strong attention to detail and personal organization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Role requires weekends, holidays and evening schedule pending client events.
