Key Responsibilities of the Assistant General Manager:

  • Partner with the General Manager to recruit, train, and nurture a highly skilled team
  • Lead training initiatives for a newly launched team and mentor front-of-house staff
  • Deliver outstanding guest experiences
  • Uphold all safety and sanitation standards per Department of Health and OSHA guidelines
  • Support floor operations as needed, maintaining composure and ensuring smooth service flow

Qualifications for the Assistant General Manager:

  • Minimum of 2 years in an AGM role at an upscale dining venue
  • Expertise in training and developing staff to deliver exceptional service
  • Strong knowledge of Steps of Service (SOS)
  • Financial proficiency, including P&L oversight, inventory management, and ordering
  • Demonstrated success in managing high-performing service teams
  • Proficiency with digital tools for reservations, scheduling, and POS systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of Department of Health protocols and sanitation regulations
