Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Restaurant Manager to oversee breakfast operations in our fine dining establishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of service and guest satisfaction, managing daily breakfast operations, and leading a well-trained and motivated team. This role demands a strong understanding of the fine dining experience, with a focus on breakfast service, as well as excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Restaurant Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee Breakfast Service: Ensure smooth and efficient breakfast service, maintaining exceptional quality standards and ensuring timely food and beverage delivery.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor front-of-house (FOH) staff, including hosts, servers, and bussers. Conduct regular training sessions focused on service standards, menu knowledge, and guest interaction.
- Guest Satisfaction: Cultivate a welcoming atmosphere by ensuring personalized and attentive service, addressing guest inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Operational Management: Manage the opening and setup of breakfast service, including table settings, station assignments, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Inventory and Ordering: Coordinate with kitchen and purchasing staff to maintain inventory levels for breakfast items, monitor stock, and assist in placing orders for necessary supplies.
- Scheduling and Labor Management: Create and manage staff schedules to align with anticipated business levels, optimizing labor costs while ensuring adequate coverage.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high standards for food presentation, taste, and consistency. Perform regular checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Financial Performance: Assist in achieving revenue and profit targets by maximizing guest spend and controlling costs within the breakfast operation. Analyze sales data and prepare daily reports on performance.
- Customer Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong guest relationships, fostering repeat business and encouraging positive reviews and feedback.
Restaurant Manager Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in restaurant management, with a strong preference for fine dining experience and familiarity with breakfast service.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest complaints diplomatically and professionally.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and time management skills, with an emphasis on detail and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in POS systems, scheduling software, and basic financial reporting.
- Certifications: NYC Food Handler Certification or equivalent (required) and familiarity with HACCP protocols (preferred).
