Job Summary

Mediterranean restaurant on the Upper East Side is seeking a strong hard-working Sous Chef!


Sous Chef Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a high-pressure environment
  • New york City Food Handler Certificate
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Train and mentor kitchen crew on cooking techniques
  • Ordering of food, chemicals, & supplied
  • Maintain a positive environment for the BOH & FOH team
