Job Summary
Mediterranean restaurant on the Upper East Side is seeking a strong hard-working Sous Chef!
Sous Chef Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a high-pressure environment
- New york City Food Handler Certificate
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Train and mentor kitchen crew on cooking techniques
- Ordering of food, chemicals, & supplied
- Maintain a positive environment for the BOH & FOH team
