Field Service Engineer
We are searching for a Field Service Engineer (FSE) with expertise in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) for fast hole drilling, as well as EDM and Laser machines designed for combined drilling and ceramic coating ablation. This role also involves LASER technologies for precise drilling and cutting operations and Electrochemical Machining (ECM) for drilling deep cooling holes in Aero-engine and Gas Turbine components.
With headquarters in the UK and a new applications and support facility in Greenville, South Carolina, the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for daily service, maintenance, training, and repair of customer equipment across the United States. This role requires establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with customers and team members and may include in-house machine assembly and administrative tasks as needed.

Field Service Engineer Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of industry experience
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment
- Relevant degree qualification or similar qualification with relevant professional experience
- Ability to align multi axis machines to high tolerances
- Strong follow-through
- Self-directed initiative
- Excellent communication; both verbal and written
Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:
- Completing Preventative Maintenance tasks and provide training courses both onsite and in-house
- Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, calibration and repair on EDM, Laser and STEM equipment, used in the production of cooling holes for Turbine blades
- Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated
- Carry out Axis alignments to ensure correct operation and functionality of the machines
- International travel will be necessary with this role
