Job Summary
As the Beverage Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our beverage program, from wine selection and cocktail creation to inventory management and staff training. With a strong background in high-volume service, the Beverage Manager will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional drink experience that complements our Italian cuisine, driving revenue, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
Beverage Manager Responsibilities:
- Design and manage an authentic Italian-inspired beverage menu, including wines, cocktails, aperitifs, and non-alcoholic options
- Partner with vendors and suppliers to source high-quality wines, spirits, and ingredients while negotiating competitive pricing
- Oversee daily beverage operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards during high-volume service
- Lead and conduct training programs for staff to enhance knowledge of Italian wines, cocktail pairings, and customer service
- Monitor and manage beverage inventory, ordering, and cost control to align with budget goals
- Develop and implement strategies to increase beverage sales through promotions, special events, and seasonal offerings
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Regularly analyze sales data, customer feedback, and trends to refine and improve the beverage program
Beverage Manager Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as a Beverage Manager in a high-volume restaurant, with a focus on Italian cuisine preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Italian wines, spirits, and cocktails, with a passion for delivering a top-tier guest experience
- Strong leadership skills with experience training and mentoring a bar or beverage staff
- Expertise in inventory management, cost control, and vendor relations
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Sommelier, TIPS) are a plus
