Responsibilities for the Commercial Insurance Account Manager:
- Serves as the day-to-day contact for all client requests within assigned book of business (comprised of a mix of Mid-Market & Large/Complex accounts) with approximate revenue of $1.5 Million to $2 Million, depending on types/sizes of accounts.
- Using the client workbook and with the guidance of the Account Executive, creates the marketing submission and manages ongoing negotiations with carriers.
- Demonstrates ability to anticipate client problems and provide solutions proactively.
- Receives policies, sends instructions to the applicable COE, and keeps COE abreast of any changes that occur during negotiations.
- Receives quotes, reviews for accuracy and desired coverages, terms, pricing based on submission, generates and populates the proposal and sends to Account Executive for completion/review.
- Pursues mastery of the craft through ongoing education and awareness of industry trends, products, and services.
Qualifications for the Commercial Insurance Account Manager:
- Minimum of 5 years of Commercial Lines experience (Specialty lines experience a plus)
- Active P&C License
- Proficiency in Applied Epic agency management system
- Ability to build underwriter and client relationships.
- Willingness to travel (up to 30% depending on book of business & industry).
- Ability to work independently and lead project special assignments.
