Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced claims manager to lead our claims team, support our clients through the claims process, and collaborate with other claims leaders in our group. The ideal candidate will have an active P&C License, 10+ years of experience in commercial claims, and over 5 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities for the Claims Department Manager:

  • Collaborates effectively with Market and Regional Presidents to develop and maintain Claim service standards for clients within the region
  • Works in partnership with National Practice Group Leaders within designated Specialties to develop and maintain Claim service standards for clients within the Specialty
  • Directs the activities of your Claim team members in the management and advocacy of claims on behalf of clients
  • Acts as a thought-leader and collaborates with Claims Managing Director and other Claims Managers on department-wide initiatives
  • Interacts professionally and timely with clients and associates at all levels via email, phone, and in-person
  • Participates in presentations, including new business, RFPs (clients, TPAs), claim reviews, renewals, etc.
  • Demonstrates exceptional leadership characteristics
  • Demonstrates superior technical insurance and business acumen
  • Contributes to hiring and development of Claim staff members, and identifies areas for improvement or growth


Qualifications for the Claims Department Manager:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in commercial claims
  • minimum of 5 years in a leadership position
  • Extensive Applied EPIC experience
  • Ability to discuss and solve claim problems with clients and insurance carriers
  • Active P&C License
  • Exceptional technical skill and knowledge of P&C and Executive Risk coverage and claims handling
