Claims Manager
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Claims Manager with expertise in P&C commercial lines. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of claims adjusters, managing complex commercial claims, and ensuring that all claims are handled efficiently and in line with company policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial claims management, proven leadership skills, and the ability to drive performance within their team.
As a Claims Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the claims lifecycle by guiding your team through complex claims, working cross-functionally with underwriting and legal teams, and ensuring fair, timely, and accurate claims resolutions. This role also requires continuous improvement in claims processes to drive operational excellence and client satisfaction.

CLAIMS MANAGER REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in P&C commercial lines claims management
- Leadership: 5+ years of experience managing and mentoring a team of claims professionals, with a proven ability to drive performance and develop talent.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of P&C insurance policies, particularly General Liability, Umbrella, & Property coverages, including policy wording, exclusions, and endorsements.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in coverage analysis, claims investigation, and complex claim resolution
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex claims concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with underwriting, legal, and risk management teams to address complex claims issues and mitigate risks.
- Process Improvement: Experience leading process improvement initiatives and implementing best practices in claims handling.
CLAIMS MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Claims Management: Oversee and manage complex commercial P&C claims, ensuring compliance with policy terms, regulatory requirements, and company best practices.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead a team of claims adjusters, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and development of technical expertise in commercial lines claims handling.
- Coverage Analysis & Resolution: Provide expert guidance on coverage analysis, ensuring accurate and fair resolutions. Serve as an escalation point for difficult or ambiguous claims.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting, legal, and risk management, to address complex claims issues and develop effective resolution strategies.
- Team Performance & Metrics: Monitor and evaluate team performance against key metrics such as cycle time, loss ratios, and client satisfaction. Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance claims outcomes.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve claims handling processes, streamline workflows, and implement new technologies or systems to optimize team efficiency and client service.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed on industry developments, legal trends, and regulatory changes that impact commercial line claims. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Client Communication: Manage and oversee communications with clients, brokers, and other external parties regarding claim details, status updates, and resolutions.
