Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team in both pizza and line positions. This is a working role where you will be actively involved in cooking and running the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently.
Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:
- Staff Management:
- Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff.
- Schedule shifts and conduct performance evaluations.
- Inventory and Cost Control:
- Order supplies and manage inventory.
- Monitor food costs and reduce waste.
Food Safety and Sanitation:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Operational Efficiency:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations while cooking alongside staff in a specific role.
- Troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
Budgeting:
- Manage the kitchen budget and control expenses.
- Analyze financial performance and develop strategies for profitability.
Compliance and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and prepare reports.
Kitchen Manager Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
- Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for food.
Kitchen Manager Benefits:
