We are seeking a talented Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our legal team and contribute to our Firm’s continued success. A strong candidate presents a background specializing in commercial real estate transactions, development, leasing, and financing. With a reputation for providing top-tier legal counsel to developers, property owners, investors, and financial institutions, we pride ourselves on delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.


The Commercial Real Estate Attorney will handle a variety of matters related to commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, development, and financing. This position requires a high level of expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.


Commercial Real Estate Attorney Responsibilities:

·        Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate contracts, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, joint venture agreements, and loan documents.

·        Advise clients on real estate development and land use matters, including zoning and entitlements.

·        Provide counsel on real estate finance matters, including debt and equity transactions, mortgage loans, and other secured financing.

·        Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions, including title and survey reviews, environmental assessments, and zoning compliance.

·        Assist clients in resolving real estate disputes, including those involving lease agreements, property rights, and contract enforcement.

·        Collaborate with other attorneys and stakeholders on large-scale development projects and complex commercial transactions.

·        Stay up to date with industry regulations and market trends to ensure compliance and strategic advice to clients.

 

Commercial Real Estate Attorney Qualifications:

·        Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

·        Active and in good standing with the state bar in North Carolina.

·        3-5+ years of experience in commercial real estate law, including experience with acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.

·        Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.

·        Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·        Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.

·        Experience with large-scale commercial real estate developments or infrastructure projects.

·        Familiarity with tax implications related to real estate transactions.

·        Experience representing institutional investors or REITs.
