Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a growing cleaning company in the DC area. If you have great communication skills, and you are highly organized with the ability to manage spreadsheets, invoices, tax codes, and accounting systems, please apply today!


Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Good Understanding of bookkeeping functions, including expenses, and invoicing
  • Must be experienced with AR functions
  • Ongoing communication with vendors and team to ensure accurate billing
  • Experience with accounts payable, invoice scheduling, and ACH payments
  • Manage monthly sales tax in multiple states
  • Create P&L and revenue reports, and assist with building out GL's
  • Manage Quickbooks, accounts, and banking needs
  • Accurate billing of ongoing clients, and individual projects
  • Sales tax and remittances, and reconciliations
  • Manage check processing and spreadsheets
  • Experienced with vendor and employee onboarding
  • Ability to track unpaid invoices, and liaise with an outside collections company when needed 

Accountant Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Highly experienced with QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of Sage and Trello would be a plus!
  • Must possess professionalism, and great communication skills
  • Must have Professionalism, good EQ, emailing and speaking with clients and team
